We offer a 3-month Internship in our Supply Chain Team in Graz - including the opportunity for an ongoing minor employment. 

 

About the Position

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to support our Supply Chain Management Austria team in driving digital transformation, process excellence, and data-driven decision-making.
This role offers hands-on experience in analyzing supply chain processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing innovative solutions using Celonis, Artificial Intelligence, and automation technologies.
You will work directly with experienced supply chain professionals and contribute to real business improvement projects with measurable impact.

 

Your Tasks

  • Support data analytics initiatives within the Operational Excellence Team in Supply Chain Management Austria.
  • Analyze procurement and supply chain processes using Celonis and process mining methodologies.
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities across purchasing and operational processes.
  • Conduct value stream analyses and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and performance indicators to increase process transparency.
  • Apply AI-based tools and analytics to optimize workflows and support decision-making.
  • Participate in automation projects for procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Support the implementation of digital solutions and process standardization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Operational Excellence.
  • Prepare management presentations, analyses, and recommendations for improvement projects.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and digital transformation.

 

Your Profile

  • Ongoing studies in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and interest in data-driven process optimization.
  • Affinity for digital technologies, AI applications, and automation.
  • Practical experience gained through internships, university projects, research activities, or student jobs in data analytics, process improvement, supply chain management, procurement, operational excellence, or digital transformation is highly desirable.
  • First experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Celonis, or similar is advantageous.
  • Initial hands-on experience with process mining, automation, business intelligence, machine learning, AI applications, or continuous improvement projects is considered a strong advantage.
  • Interest in supply chain management, procurement, and operational excellence.
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good English skills; German is an advantage.

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 2.568,80 for this position. Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary.

Wasserkraftturbinen, Papiermaschinen, Walzanlagen für Stahl: Was ANDRITZ baut, läuft in Kraftwerken und Fabriken rund um den Globus. Das Grazer Technologieunternehmen liefert die großen Anlagen, mit denen anderswo Strom erzeugt, Zellstoff gekocht und Metall geformt wird. Angefangen hat alles 1852, mit einer kleinen Eisengießerei in Graz.

Daraus ist ein börsennotierter Konzern geworden. Rund 30.000 Menschen arbeiten heute an über 280 Standorten in mehr als 80 Ländern für ANDRITZ; etwa 3.600 davon in Österreich, rund 1.200 am Stammsitz in Graz. Die Aktie notiert an der Wiener Börse, 2025 lag der Umsatz bei 7,9 Milliarden Euro. Das Geschäft ruht auf vier Säulen. In der Wasserkraft baut ANDRITZ Turbinen und Generatoren für Kraftwerke, in der Sparte Metalle komplette Linien, auf denen kaltgewalztes Band aus Stahl und Aluminium entsteht – Material, aus dem später unter anderem leichte Autoteile werden. Dazu kommen Technik für die Zellstoff- und Papierindustrie und ein Bereich für Umwelt und Energie, der von Recycling bis grünem Wasserstoff reicht. In Graz wird das nicht nur geplant, sondern auch gebaut: Auf rund 95.000 Quadratmetern fertigt und montiert das Unternehmen Komponenten und führt Reparaturen und Umbauten aus. An den Maschinen stehen Schlosser und Zerspanungstechniker, in den Büros rechnen Konstrukteure und Projektingenieure an der nächsten Turbinengeneration. Hinzu kommen Fachleute aus Automatisierung, IT, Einkauf und Projektabwicklung. Wer technisch arbeitet, hat hier mit Anlagen zu tun, die jahrzehntelang im Einsatz bleiben. Und ein Wechsel von Graz nach Finnland, Brasilien oder China ist möglich, ohne den Arbeitgeber zu verlassen. Eine Mitarbeiterzahl speziell für einzelne österreichische Tochterstandorte weist das Unternehmen öffentlich nicht durchgängig aus. Gefertigt wird in Graz seit über 170 Jahren.
