Platform Engineer
Engineer • Full-Time • Graz / Hybrid
We’re looking for a senior mobile engineer who builds high-quality Flutter apps and helps keep our software clean, layered, and easy to evolve. You’re comfortable working across the stack, from Flutter down to platform when needed, you care deeply about automation and release reliability, and you enjoy explaining the why behind technical decisions.
We’re a medical device manufacturer, software-focused, working at the forefront of what’s possible in our space - so quality, traceability, and disciplined engineering matter.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain Flutter features with clean, layered architecture, clear boundaries, testable modules and maintainable patterns.
- Use Flutter architecture patterns effectively. We often use BLoC, but we care more about sound design than any one pattern.
- Read and review code deeply: understand intent, spot risks, and raise the bar on structure, correctness, and maintainability.
- Strengthen our engineering paved roads: CI/CD, build and release automation, test automation, linting, release checks, monitoring and observability.
- Work at the platform layer when required, including Android and iOS integrations, native SDKs, debugging and performance issues.
- Help integrate and run our ML models in production via custom inference code that is robust, performant and observable.
What we are looking for
- Strong production experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Proven ability to design and evolve layered software architectures.
- Excellent code-reading and code-review skills: understand why code is written a certain way, and can improve it without breaking intent.
- A strong automation and DevOps mindset: you care about repeatable builds, safe releases, fast feedback loops and measurable quality improvements.
- Comfortable going into Android and iOS when needed.
- Clear communicator who documents tradeoffs and decisions.
What we offer
- Work on software in a medical-device context where quality and traceability matter.
- Flexible working hours, flat hierarchy, home office possible.
- Team events, education and networking opportunities.
- Strong career growth in a fast-growing company.
Compensation
- Minimum base salary according to the Austrian IT collective agreement, IT-KV, ST1 standard level is €53,802 gross per year, based on €3,843 gross per month paid 14 times per year.
- Significant overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
Details
- Graz, hybrid and home office possible.
- Full-time, 38.5 hours per week, or by agreement.
