Functional Safety Manager – Electronics (m/f/d)

Are you passionate about Functional Safety and Electronics Development? If so, then join our team and play a pivotal role in product development projects focusing on ECUs and HMIs for the off-highway sector. You will be responsible for planning and executing safety-related activities across the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring our products meet the highest safety standards.

Your Tasks

• Develop product-specific functional safety concepts and architectures for ECUs and HMIs
• Plan and carry out safety-related activities across the full product development lifecycle
• Define and document development requirements for safety-critical products
• Lead and moderate functional safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA
• Support functional safety audits and assessments conducted by independent authorities
• Prepare technical documentation in line with applicable CE directive requirements
• Coordinate with notified bodies on the issuance and renewal of functional safety certificates
• Respond to customer inquiries related to functional safety

Your Profile

• Degree in a relevant technical field; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred
• Proven experience in electronics development; knowledge of software development is an advantage
• Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and ISO 25119
• Experience with safety analyses and methods such as FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA
• Structured and independent working style with strong documentation skills
• Strong communication skills and confidence in working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Analytical, solution-oriented team player with a proactive mindset
• Very good English skills; German is a plus

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 67,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
