The Department of Safeguards carries out the IAEA's duties and responsibilities as the world's nuclear inspectorate, supporting global efforts to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. The Office of Information and Communication Systems (SGIS) is responsible for the provision of secure Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services that enable the Department of Safeguards to deliver on its mandate.
Reporting to the Project Support Team Leader, the IT Project Manager ensures a results-oriented response to the Department's priorities. The IT Project Manager has primary responsibility for managing one or multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring that projects are delivered within agreed tolerances of time, budget and benefits, and advises senior management on the impact of technology projects on the IAEA Safeguards core business.
The IT Project Manager is a substantive specialist, translating business requirements and objectives into information technology capabilities; a project manager, providing management, administration and leadership for project teams; and an adviser to SGIS management and other senior managers on business process, risk, organizational change, and system implementation issues.
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $71335, a variable post adjustment currently amounting to US $37094, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses, six weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
